I love creating in any medium but have fallen in love with glass. Colour and light play so beautifully together.
You could say it all started waiting for dinner to arrive. As kids, my sister and I were given crayons to pass the time doodling on paper placemats in restaurants. From there it was a short hop to gluing macaroni to old jam jars and spray painting them gold - the apex of 70s artistic expression!
Many years later, after lots of formal and informal training in the arts, and living abroad in countries with unique cultural and artistic outlooks (Japan, China, France and the Netherlands) I took a course in stained glass while living in England and was hooked.
I think simplicity and a cohesive design are at the front of my mind when creating the pieces I make. From deciding which corner of glass or rectangle of paper looks right, and needs to be cut just so, to selecting the type of chain or cord to string it on - making jewellery is very rewarding. However, it does require a lot of patience and attention to detail. (So I'm learning.)
If you see something you like but want it with a different finish or findings, or if you'd like to commission a special unique piece, please get in touch. I'd be happy to discuss any ideas you have.
And if for any reason you are not satisfied with your jewellery when it arrives, please email me or convo me and I'll do my best to sort things out for you.
