Alice Halliday is an Irish based fashion designer/stylist specialising in womenswear. Her ranges include ready-to-wear, accessories and couture, she also creates bespoke bridal gowns and headpieces. Each piece is delicately and beautifully handmade by Alice in her home studio in West Cork.
Philosophy
As someone who cares strongly about the environment, Alice strives to contribute towards creating a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry. She focuses on using unique, reclaimed vintage and antique materials as much as possible.
Signature Style
Timeless, a perfect mix of vintage romance, bohemian elegance and contemporary class. Alice's work combines the minimalistic with the intricate, featuring techniques of draping and hand embellishments.
Background
Alice grew up in the countryside of Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland.
“My childhood and the environment in which I grew up strongly influence my work, West Cork is a very magical, Holy place I think. Nature and religious iconography are two of my main inspirations.”
She studied Art and Design at Warwickshire College, Leamington Spa, England. In May 2007, graduated from the BTEC Diploma with a distinction and Student of the Year award. Alice graduated from UCA Epsom, England in June 2010 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Fashion Design. Her graduate Collection 'Soul Salvation' was showcased on the catwalk at London Graduate Fashion Week on 6th June 2010.
