I’ve had a passion for wood crafting since I started in the early 90s. While I enjoyed working my 9-5 job, I wanted a stress reliever that kept me inspired. Painting beautiful handmade signs was what I loved to do, so I launched my Etsy shop, Custom Wood Sign Studio. Since it started, my Etsy shop has expanded and now features a variety of decorative wooden signs featuring some of my favorite things — words that bring us together.

To enhance my crafting skills, I attended several tole and wood painting classes in Las Vegas. Those classes inspired me to unleash my creativity and add this beautiful balance to my life. I love to find fun, new fonts for my items and watch trends change on Etsy and in the handmade world. I’m constantly seeking out beautiful, natural materials to create my raw aesthetic, and I’m encouraged by the overwhelming positive feedback from my customers, friends and family.

I live a very full and happy life. I work hard to provide for my family and my daughter above all else. I cherish being surrounded by my friends who inspire me to create signs centered on love, belonging and sharing smiles. I can’t help thinking that a wooden sign can really serve as a reminder in a home to value everyone you love. We all need the reminder sometimes, don’t we?

Outside of my shop, you’ll often find me spending time with my adorable dog, reading a great book or sipping on hot coffee. I guess it’s my love for all things cozy that comes through in my crafting. And oh yes, I can’t forget about the Kansas City Chiefs! Touchdown! I love attending football games with my loved ones and cheering for my team.

Opening Custom Wood Sign Studio has enabled to me to grow into a professional crafter, support my family and take time to do what I absolutely love. I couldn’t ask for a better life or balance, and I hope my handmade signs add some cheer to your home.
