My name is Cat...appropriately so as I love cats. Well, I love all animals!
Though my shop contains several types of things, the most important (to me) is my line of little animal sculptures I call 'waz-O'. This name is my phoenetic spelling of the French word 'oiseau', which, as you may know, means 'bird'. Why call any animal a 'waz-O'? Well, I do it in honor of my late, dearly-loved and sorely missed Siamese cat, Lautrec, who loved a trio of crows ('his' oiseaux) that lived near our flat in Switzerland. To Lautrec 'oiseaux/ waz-O' meant a bird or birds, but because Lautrec sat with me as I made my first bird sculptures and my first cat sculpture...I decided to call all little animals 'waz-O' in Lautrec's honor because I believe he is watching over me and guiding me as I continue to make not just birds, but all the various animals you can find in my shop.
