Me and my sister live in the far north of England, in wild and windy Northumberland. The inspiration for our little shop Litpegs is the many 19th century novels we have read over the years and a chance encounter with an old Victorian pedlar peg doll called Myrtle. Myrtle made us think how fun it would be to create our own dolls based on some famous literary heroines. Because we want all our dolls to look the part, we're always on the look out for remnants of old fabric and lace, beads and trimmings. We take time over designing the right dress for each of the characters, they are all lovingly hand stitched and no two are the same.
If you like our peg dolls you may also enjoy our other creations inspired by old fashioned toys from days gone by. They are all uniquely designed by us and made with the same loving care.
