My philosophy on life:
The Universal pie IS big enough for everyone to enjoy and then some. Kindness matters most. Thoughts are things. Everything is cyclical. Anything is possible.

Some background:
...I was born and raised in Queens, NY, and was crafting as early as I can remember. Heck, I invented colored glue long before Crayola. Seriously! I was 10, in 5th grade and during lunch would scratch markers on paper, put glue on top & mix it with a tooth pick until the glue picked up the color. Then I would draw pictures with the now colored glue – when it dried I had 3D art. Pretty Cool. But I digress...

I ended up in the Fashion Industry which was the perfect career for me since I have an obsession with shoes, handbags and clothes – mostly shoes and handbags though. I spent several years traveling across the country for Liz Claiborne hosting in-store events...fashion shows and fashion show tie-in's with likes of Mademoiselle & Elle Magazines, wardroe workshops and training seminars. It was the best time of my life.

So it seems only fitting that MerCurios was born. The MerCurios style is Chaotic in nature, Organic in material, Industrial and Raw in style. The MerCurios girl is self-contained, knows her worth, won't back down and never, ever, walks away from a challenge. She is always fashionable and always true to her instincts. She knows strength lies in compassion and kindness. The MerCurios girl has the world in the palm of her hand.

Everything is a handmade, one of a kind original created by me in my in-home studio in East Setauket, NY. Where I'm a loving wife, progressive mom, loyal friend, and compassionate neighbor when I'm not designing kick ass jewelry.

Our pieces have been featured in the book 1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse: Remake, Restyle, Recycle, Renew by Garth Johnson (Quarry Books, 2009). And in numerous Fashion Magazines including CLEO, STATUS and ACCESSORIES MAGAZINE, as well as countless well-read Fashion Blogs. Not to mention the Etsy Finds and Etsy Storque!
