A small group of volunteers, dedicated to saving some of the most neglected and traumatized dogs in this world.

Due to their troubled past, many of our dogs have fear issues to one degree or another.

But there are also many dogs who have only experienced mild trauma and who are very quickly able to express themselves again with a happy zest for life and eager to give us humans another chance.

We have a soft heart for timid dogs who have become like this due to the past abuse and neglect inflicted on them by humans.

Making good the trauma suffered by these innocent souls is one of the most rewarding and wonderful experiences anyone can imagine.

The courage to trust again and the willingness to be happy once more, which all these dogs have in common, makes each and every one our own very special hero. They are all truly amazing and seeing them change and become happy again is simply magical!


Our main focus is currently on the horrific plight of the romanian dogs, where we help selected rescues and aid organizations together with trusted private volunteers.

We help by sponsoring neutering/spaying campaigns for abandoned strays to change the appalling situation at source.

We offer financial support to private shelters to improve conditions for the often hundreds of dogs in their care and we help with medical costs and emergency treatments.

We sponsor selected dogs and help with finding them happy homes.

Paws2Freedom also helps with dog transports for UK poundies and we work in close connection with other rescues. We help each other by offering rescue space, organizing homechecks and providing financial support for emergencies and projects.
