Pepper Tree Aviary sells Bird Shirts for women, men and children. My goal is to make shirts that appeal to both the fashion conscious and the nature or bird lover.
I have been a vendor at Eugene Saturday Market in Eugene, Oregon for many years, selling sewed items for most of that time. Pepper Tree Aviary was born from my love of nature and my favorite drawing style, which is realism. I work from photos, and try to choose birds with personality. I am currently working on a new drawing of a Brown Pelican.
IAQ (Infrequently Asked Questions):
Where did you get your shop name? Pepper Tree Aviary is named after the street I live on. But I was seriously tempted by my friend's suggestion, Word Botchers.
Where do you get your fabulous models? The South Eugene High School Theater Department! My daughter graduated in 2011 (now a student at Northwestern University) but she still has many friends there. She is the model with the straight dark blonde hair and big blue eyes.
