Beads, beads, beads! Shiny, matte, small, large, round, rectangular, square it doesn't matter the size, shape, or finish. They all have the potential to become art and tell a story.
One of my favorite childhood memories is of collecting Petoskey stones on the shores of Lake Michigan with my mother while we were on family vacations. We'd take them home, polish them, and put them in the rock basket that held dozens of other types of rocks and stones we had collected from various places including Jaspers, Agates, and Obsidians. All of them polished smooth and shiny.
