I thought everyone had a sewing room, while I grew up. Not knowing the skills I learned surrounded by such. In turn influenced me and now my children. My oldest son, an auto trimmer (tricks out the inside of cars). Then my other sons buy clothing alter them to fit better, not only for them self, but friends too.
The quilting all started with my daughter, in a way kinda sorta. Lets blame her. My first finished quilt was for her son. Then I had to make ones for the other grandchildren... then my children....nieces and nephews, finality few for my self. All the time friends and family telling me to make and sale them.
Just like people my quilts have character. Not one the same, and not one perfect.
Layed off from work granny. That enjoys her new job making quilts.
