How did I get into candle making? Its simple. I started as an ordinary candle shopper and couldn’t find what I was looking for. Candles from the “Big Box Stores” smell great when you open the lid in the store, but the scent goes away quickly when the candle starts to burn. NOT good! I started making candles to prove to myself that candles could be made better. It should smell great when you light it, and should stay that way till it goes out. It worked for Folgers coffee, ‘Good to the last drop!”, so why aren’t candles that way?

As with most things, its simply a matter of money. Using high quality scents (and LOTS of it) with the right blend of wax isn’t cheap unfortunately. You really do get what you pay for though. I sell my candles for a little bit more than the “Big Box Stores” but the difference is obvious when you start to burn them.
