Robyn Henzel - was born in New York City and grew up in Rockaway Beach, New York. She paints in New York City and in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks.

The artist received a Bachelor of Arts from Baruch College, City University of New York, where she was awarded the Wollman Medal for Political Science and received her Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.

Returning to New York City after extensive international traveling, the artist went on to study and receive Certification in Software Development and Design at Columbia University's Computer Technology and Applications Program. Today, Ms. Henzel remains fascinated by the intersection of technology and art, human and machine, primitive and tribal as these qualities intersect with impersonal and sterile modern life.

Robyn studied painting at the Art Student's League of New York, where she is currently a member. The artist studied predominantly with Andrew Lukach and William Scharf and has recently begun studying with renowned classical painter Richard Pionk. All of these great American painters have strongly influenced the artist's work and inspired her to follow her own path to innovative artistic expression.

Robyn Henzel had her first solo gallery show in NYC in December 2004. Another solo gallery show is scheduled for January, 2007, in New York City. Please drop an email which includes your mailing address to receive a postcard invitation to the exhibition.
