From fun to business

In the spring of 2011 one of my close friends mentioned to me he will be taking soap making class so I decided I will take the class with him. From the first class we took I was addicted on making soap. It was so much fun making handmade soaps and playing with all the colors and scents that for the longest time that was mostly what I was talking with my friends about.

I start making soap for all my friends and even my son enjoys helping combine colors and scents. We have “brainstorming” session when my son, Matthew, loves to help and come up with names for soaps. Also he is my help in organizing, stocking, shipping and marketing. This is our family business !

I love making soaps for all age groups and preferences, and my new soap line, 100% olive oil soaps, will be ready to be in my shop within 2-3 months, all new organics, all natural soaps, no artificial colorants.

My organics soaps are hand made in batches of 30-40 at a time are allowed to cure for 8 weeks to ensure enough water has evaporated from the bars, they will last longer this way!

Also during the winter I wanted to have flowers in the house, I missed summer so much that I wanted to fill my house with flowers. And this is how I start making my paper flowers that we all like so much. Now my house is full of beautiful flowers that will last for a very long time and my son, Matthew, still helps me with choosing the colors, like I said it's a family affair :).
