I have been playing with hot glass for over eighteen years now, and even after that time I feel I have barely scratched the surface. The possibilities of glass are limitless! I don't feel that I will ever tire of exploring this fascinating medium.
A former seamstress, I spent several years learning how to digitize embroidery designs and doing machine embroidery. One day I saw a TV show where a woman was making glass beads with a hothead torch and thought, "I can do that!". I bought a torch and never looked back.
After spending 12 years as an educator and school librarian, I am now a bookmobile librarian in Billings, Montana. I drive a truck (aka bookmobile) all over Yellowstone County. I am divorced and live with my daughter near Billings. We have 2 dogs, numerous cats, and 3 horses. I also enjoy tie-dyeing, metal clay, reading, sewing and gardening, and occasionally dabble in silversmithing, enameling, wire wrapping, kumihimo, and others.
THE BEADS:
I make all my beads and other glass objects using various soda-lime glasses from all over the world, including Italian, German, Czechoslovakian and American glass. Beads are properly annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln. This allows them to cool down slowly and results in a bead that will last a long, long time. Beads are then thoroughly cleaned of bead release. I take care to ensure that my beads are balanced and clean!
FORMS OF PAYMENT:
I take paypal or money orders.
SHIPPING:
Shipping for beads is $2.60 for first-class mail with delivery confirmation. Insurance is optional. I do not charge a packing or handling fee. Items will be shipped within 2 days unless I let you know otherwise.
Cost for shipping first class international to Canada is $7 and overseas is $11.00 and takes about 7 to 10 days.
RETURNS OR EXCHANGES:
If you are unhappy with your beads or jewelry, I will gladly accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of delivery. Please email me before shipping. Return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser. Items must be in the same condition as they were received.
I want you to be happy with your purchase!
DISCLAIMER:
The items I have for sale here (though fairly durable due to annealing) are still glass and may break if subjected to abuse, such as dropping them on a concrete or tile floor. I am not responsible for any possible injuries sustained from broken glass or other materials. They are also not safe for small children and may constitute a choking hazard. Please keep them away from children.
