Technically, I consider myself fashion-challenged! Lol! Just ask my daughters! But I love to give new life to old things, from the very vintage to the more recent, from sewing patterns to craft patterns - all the needle arts. Vintage treasures bring beauty, value, and fun.
Needlecraft & sewing history: I learned sewing as a teen, using my mother's Singer treadle machine (oh I wish I still had it!) and sewed my own wedding dress - very bohemian style, back in the 70s! ;D I learned embroidery from my mother, who regularly produced embroidered linens for the kitchen, for gifts - it's a wonderful and versatile craft.
Needlecraft goal: Take a course from the Embroiderers' Guild of America. Check them out for fabulous needlework of all kinds, just beautiful!
Best knitting accomplishment: Aran sweaters!
Favorite eras for clothing: mid-40s, the 50s, and late 60s/early 70s.
Favorite vintage styles: swing, full gathered circle skirts, A-line mini skirts, and tailored top-stitched anything. :D
