Smoke and Mirrors is a line of clothing, bags, and various other accessories geared towards the young and eclectic, focusing on a balance between comfort and style, uniqeness and wearability. Handmade and one-of-a-kind, each piece combines vintage and new materials, creating a fusion of old-world glamour and relaxed modern style.

The mess of colors, fabrics, and love that is Smoke and Mirrors was created by Samantha Burgoon. Sam began sewing at the age of six, motivated by the sheer lack of creativity expressed by the designers of her Barbie's wardrobe. She eventually was allowed to purchase and use a real sewing machine, and moved on to assembling clothing for actual people.

As a proud Bostonian, Sam adores thrifting, hair dyeing, and zombies. She also loves photography, and is rarely seen without her faithful camera, Henry. She surfs occasionally and enjoys people watching, subway riding, and engaging in general displays of ridiculousness. With the help of her trusty clarinet, Sam aspires to be a traveling troubadour, but if that doesn't work out, hey, there's always that Art School education to fall back on!
