Our bed meets the Montessori requirements for children’s beds – it is safe, easily accessible for small children and encourages their independence. The mattress is easily reachable, even for the smallest ones, allowing babies to climb onto or off of it on their own. You don't have to worry about dangerous falls from the height of a classic bed at night. The Scandinavian-inspired shape makes it a cosy, smartly designed bed that encourages children to sleep independently and gives your children's room a homey feel. Measuring 140 cm x 70 cm, it is suitable for children who are starting their independent sleep training up to about six years of age.
Although according to the Montessori pedagogical principals, a bed should only be used for sleeping, this is not always possible due to the limited space of most children's bedrooms; in that case, you can transform it into a pleasant space for relaxation, reading or daytime play.
Our FLOORbed is made of solid beechwood, finished with non-toxic oil suitable for use in children's toys and furniture. Solid construction is guaranteed by high-quality fittings and screws. What is more, the slatted bed base enables the mattress to breathe, preventing mould growth.
