The situation in Gaza is a humanitarian nightmare for children. They urgently need protection and help. I will donate all profits made of this listing to UNICEF, which is an organization within the United Nations that promotes the well-being of children. With the donations they receive, they immediately convert the support they get making humanitarian aid possible. Your donation will support the most urgent needs of children and families in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. They receive medical care, education, psychosocial support, clean water, and therapeutic nutrition from UNICEF. If you want to know more about the situation in Gaza and UNICEF's impact, I recommend you to take a look at the following website: https://www.unicef.org/emergencies/children-gaza-need-lifesaving-support
The watermelon bandana is made with a beginner friendly pattern, as you only need to know the following stitches:
- magic ring
- chain
- slip stitch
- single crochet
- double crochet
- treble crochet
The materials you need:
- Fine weight yarn in red, white, green and black
- A 3 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- A darning needle
If you use fine weight yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook, the width of the base will be 53 cm and the length will be 25 cm. The strings will be 45 cm each. Of course you can use different yarn and a different crochet hook, but the bandana will be a different size then. You can add rows if you are comfortable with the pattern or stop adding rows by using the instructions from the last row.
