This poncho is a super versatile garment that will keep you warm and cozy! It’s made with upcycled yarn, so it’s also sustainable:) It’s crocheted in one piece and then folded, and fits most sizes.
This pattern is quite simple and it will give you an amazing result! There are just a few basic rows and stitches repeated through all the pattern. I’ve added some pictures to help you check progress, as well as a step-by-step guide for the final folds and adjustments.
Yarn & Hook size: For the step-by-step pictures I used Hobbii Upcycled Alpaca Blend with a 4mm hook, but you can use whatever yarn & hook size you like, as long as they match and the gauge is correct
Gauge: 14 dc and 7 rows in 10 cm
Difficulty: intermediate
Terminology: US terms
Materials required:
• 8 skeins of Hobbii Upcycled Alpaca Blend (or 1300 m)
• 4 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle to sew ends
• Scissors
Stitches used in this pattern:
• Slip stitch (sl st)
• Chain (ch)
• Single crochet (sc)
• Double crochet (dc)
• Three double crochet together cluster (dc3tog cluster)
Other abbreviations:
• Ch-sp: chain space
• Sk st: skip stitch
