Hello and welcome to Flights of Fancy Designs ~ the home of whatever catches your fancy and sends you flying!!

Here you will find handmade jewelry, hand painted ceramics, custom Vinylmations, hand crafted trinket and memory boxes, and other bits of handmade ephemera. Everything is made by me, Karen Turner. I have been beading for six years now, and painting ceramics and crafting for over twenty years.

All the jewelry you find here is made with the highest quality components. I use only sterling silver, gold filled, and vermeil metal beads so you can be assured that your treasure will last for many years. I also use the strongest stringing materials so that your piece will withstand everyday wear and tear. After all, jewelry is meant to be worn!!
If you see a jewelry design here that you like, but would like it done in a different color, please feel free to contact me and I will be glad to work with you on getting you exactly what you want.

The ceramic and Vinyl pieces offered here are hand painted with acrylic paint and sealed so they will last and can be handed down from generation to generation.
Also, with the ceramic and Vinyl pieces, if you would like a piece done with a particular color scheme in mind let me know and I can do that for you (this will take a few weeks as I will be painting your piece after you make your color wishes known to me).

The trinket and memory boxes offered here are made of paper mache or wood and are handpainted or decoupaged. After all the extras are added (ribbon, cabochons, rub ons, die cut shapes...) the boxes are sealed so they will last for generations.
With these pieces, if you would like a piece done with a particular color scheme or a certain theme in mind let me know and I can do that for you (this will take a few weeks as I will be painting your piece after you make your color/theme wishes known to me).

Please keep in mind that all my pieces are One of a Kind. In the jewelry section, if you see something you like, I recommend purchasing it, because I may not have more of those beads to make another. I am always happy to try to create something similar, so if you fall in love with a piece that has already been sold, contact me and I will see what I can do!!
