My journey
Art has always been a central thread in my life, woven through a tapestry of creative pursuits that span painting with acrylics, drawing, resin art, and, most recently, jewelry making. Living in the picturesque state of Maine with my two beautiful children, I balance a rewarding career in public education-supported by my professional degree-with a vibrant passion for artistic expression.
Over the past two years, I have immersed myself in the world of jewelry making. My journey began with simple DIY kits found online, which offered a gentle introduction to the craft and allowed me to experiment with basic techniques and materials. As my confidence and curiosity grew, I progressed to designing and crafting pieces from scratch, learning foundational skills such as creating loops, opening and closing jump rings, and finishing necklaces and bracelets with professional touches. Each new piece became an opportunity to stretch my creative mind and find relaxation after busy days in the classroom.
Jewelry making, for me, is more than a hobby- it's a meaningful way to de-stress and reconnect with my artistic side. Whether I am stringing beads, working with wire, or experimenting with resin, I find immense joy in transforming raw materials into wearable art. My inspiration often comes from the natural beauty of Maine, echoing the tradition of local artisans who incorporate organic forms and coastal motifs into their work.
Sharing these handmade treasures with others is a goal close to my heart. Art is meant to be enjoyed, and I hope that those who wear my creations find as much delight in them as I do in their making. Through my art, I aim to foster a sense of connection and joy, within my family and in the wider community.
