‘I hope people will see my artwork and remember to care for nature!’
12-year-old Benjamin Fallow is a young artist and naturalist. This video is from when Benji was 6. The artwork in this shop is all by Benji, drawn and painted between the ages of 5 and 11.
Benji draws and paints from nature, and loves to draw out in the countryside - he’s been carrying paper and pens in his backpack since he was three! Benji loves studying the details and learning facts about each species. He calls himself Benjamin Fallow after fallow deer, because deer are his favourite animals. He’s passionate about protecting nature, and he hopes his artwork will encourage people to care for wildlife and for nature.
He makes all his artwork completely himself from scratch. building up his animal forms by using shapes, and often works from multiple reference images for a single drawing - while sometimes surprising me by drawing something amazing without any references at all!
I'm Benji's mum, Michelle, or Nish for short. Benji and I started sharing his artwork on Instagram during lockdown, and we opened this shop to help Benji share his art and hopefully raise money to help nature at the same time!
Proceeds raised through sales here are all donated to charity, and benji has raised over £11,000 for charity in the last few years, through sales of his artwork and sponsored challenges.
All the artwork for sale here are prints of Benji’s own work, made by himself from scratch at ages 5-11. Benji and I chose a selection for the cards and prints, and I've carefully looked for the most beautiful paper and printing process to get the best prints we possibly could. They are printed with high quality inks on Mohawk Eggshell paper, which is FSC accredited, chlorine-free, and produced using wind power in a carbon neutral factory. All envelopes and packaging are compostable or produced from recycled materials.
Benji couldn't believe it when he saw the first proofs, they look exactly like the real artwork, and he was just blown away! We really hope you love them too :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! We hope you find something you love here :)
Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info :)
Warm wishes,
Nish and Benji xx
