Conserving Threads celebra le fibre tessili. Pur apprezzando la morbidezza e la sensazione al tatto di tutte le fibre, al momento stiamo esplorando il cotone, la canapa, il lino e la corteccia di ortica. CT crede fermamente che dare una seconda vita ai tessuti ♻ sia fondamentale. Riutilizziamo abiti e biancheria vintage; più sono vecchi e indesiderati, meglio è. Una gonna fuori moda viene riciclata e trasformata in una ciotola per filati, un paio di jeans scartati in una borsa, una tovaglietta antica ricamata a mano in un'elegante pochette, o quel morbido maglione in matasse di splendido filato pronte per un nuovo progetto. I nostri filati riciclati provengono da capi di abbigliamento usati, reperiti principalmente in negozi dell'usato. Selezioniamo fibre prevalentemente naturali, che vengono delicatamente separate e avvolte in matasse. Poiché questo filato riciclato ♻ proviene da un maglione, si prega di notare che potrebbero essere presenti nodi, dovuti al processo di produzione o al processo di sfilacciamento. Il nostro ambiente è privo di fumo e accogliente per gli animali domestici.

Conserving Threads celebrates textile fibers. While we enjoy the hand and feel of all fibers we are currently exploring cotton, hemp, flax and nettle bark. CT feels that giving a second chance to textiles ♻ is a must. We repurpose clothing and vintage linens; the older and unwanted the better. An out-of-fashion skirt is now upcycled into a yarn bowl, a pair of discarded jeans is now a handbag; an antique hand embroidered placemat is turned into an elegant clutch; or that soft sweater is now skeins of lovely yarn ready for a new project. Our reclaimed yarns are from pre-loved items of clothing, sourced largely from second chance stores. Mostly natural fibers are chosen and gently taken apart and wound into skeins. Since this reclaimed yarn is ♻ recycled from a sweater please be aware that there might tie-ons, either from the manufacturing process or the unraveling process. We are a smoke free and pet friendly environment.
