To plant lovers
Hello everyone,
I am the founder of CraftsmanMade, a ceramic artisan from China.
Many years ago, when I first buried my hands in the warm, soft clay, I knew this would be a lifelong journey. In China, we have an ancient saying: *"A room need not be large to be elegant; flowers need not be many to exude fragrance."* It means that the quality of life lies not in grand spaces, but in the care poured into every detail. This phrase has become the soul of CraftsmanMade.
I founded CraftsmanMade because I believe every plant deserves to be treated gently. On my workbench, no two pieces are exactly the same — each planter is hand-thrown, trimmed, glazed, and transformed at a high temperature of 1300°C. As I watch the glazes flow and crystallize in the kiln, I see it as a dialogue between earth and fire, a unique mark given by time.
When you choose a piece from CraftsmanMade, you are not choosing an industrial product from an assembly line, but a warm, living story.
Imagine: morning sunlight filters through the curtains, falling on the ceramic planter you carefully selected for your beloved plant. Its gentle texture, one-of-a-kind glaze patterns, and shape tailored specifically for that plant — perhaps a wide, shallow pot for succulents’ shallow roots, or a tall, breathable pot for orchids to stretch freely. In that moment when you place your plant inside, you feel the joy of creation, the control over life’s details, and a tribute to the beauty of nature.
In an age that chases speed, I choose to slow down and give each plant a home. Every CraftsmanManMade planter takes weeks to complete — from kneading, throwing, drying, bisque-firing, glazing to the final kiln firing. I cannot promise flawless perfection, for the charm of handcraft lies precisely in those subtle irregularities: a natural flow of glaze, the soft texture of a fingerprint, the spiral lines left by throwing on the wheel. These are traces of life that no machine can replicate.
I believe that the quality of life is hidden in daily details. A carefully tended green corner can heal a tired soul; a ceramic planter that perfectly matches your home can elevate the entire space. CraftsmanMade pieces are created for those who love plants, appreciate the “slow life,” and choose to invest in a better life.
Every piece shipped from CraftsmanMade carries my respect for plants and love for life. I hope they are more than just containers — they become part of your aesthetic, and a witness to the growth you share with your plants.
Welcome to CraftsmanMade — where clay is given soul, plants find belonging, and you discover your commitment to the finer things in life.
