Sometimes I dream about opening up my own cafe. I absolutely love to discover new combinations of flavors and spices, and I imagine a cozy little downtown location with stacks of books, delicious food, and inspiring art on the wall. Or, even better, just have that atmosphere at home where I can cook for the people I love! My drawings are inspired by this feeling of the home cafe, a place to read a book, have a cup of tea and, of course, enjoy art on the walls.

Growing up, dinner time was always an important time of day- a time to laugh, share the day’s stories, pray together and, of course, enjoy my mom’s delicious cooking! I want to create that same experience for my family and friends as well, so I love to experiment in the kitchen, creating meals to enjoy while we spend time together around the table. My FlourishCafe shop is all about cultivating the vibe your own flourishing cafe right in your own home, as a gathering place for the people you really want to be with – your friends and family!

I design my prints with varying techniques of hand-drawn pen and ink illustration, typography, graphic design, vintage illustration, and photography. I love discovering very old quotes (or developing my own quotes) that speak to that café vibe I'm going for, and then designing a new print design around that. I have my art printed and shipped to you from a small business that I trust to do an excellent job of high quality printing and shipping.
