Providing Fun + Versatile Sewing Patterns with great tutorials and support
Hazel Alekomd is an independant sewing pattern business that launched early this year. It's owned + operated by a military wife and mamma, Amanda Cooke who is based in Canberra, Australia. Amanda's passion for designing was emerged after years of sewing, running a handmade boutique and completing studies in fashion & design, pattern making and various business & administrative courses. Her creative drive and original love for sewing was ever evolving alongside her career in Early Childhood Education. Since 2005 Amanda has always made handmade props and resources for the children she cared for at work and at home.
Hazel Alekmond’s Patterns include detailed illustrations of pattern options and corresponding step by step instructions. Both metric and imperial measurements are included as well as quicklinks, colour photographs, and designer and business tips. A4/Letter print at home, A0 and Projector Friendly files are included in all pattern packages which are multi-sized and layered. The tutorial packages also include supporting tutorials for additional design and style options.
Hazel Alekmond is a big advocate of Handmade Businesses using her patterns, she is building on the resources available to her community and loves to promote their handmade boutiques across all platforms.
