Love the things you love.
In elementary school, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I didn't know back then. I didn't know who I was and what I wanted to do. I hadn't found myself, so I chose a path suggested to me and toddled along my merry way. I didn't find out for years and years who I really was until recently in my final year of completing my Bachelor of Science in nursing.
That was when it hit me somewhere between administering bags of blood and watching people die that what they say is true -- life is too short to do something you don't love.
Keyaroscuro is a shop for people to love the things that they love. The name is a derivation of the Italian art term chiaroscuro that generally means light-dark. There are many things about that term that relates to me and the reason for this shop and what I choose to do and who I am choosing to be.
But in short, it's helped me learn to love the things I love. And I hope that wherever you are in life, you can love the things you love, too.
