From One to Many.
In my bio I mentioned I've done this customizing for a about 20 years now, on and off.
My first helmet was a custom Wyoming Cowboys. I stripped a Arizona Cardinal helmet (with very primitive means) to make a Wyoming helmet. To say the least, it looked awful! But it was a start. I asked around (Thank God for the internet) and got information on how to improve my craft. Redid the Wyoming helmet...and got a close representation of a factory made Riddell helmet. I was happy enough with it to try other teams, color helmets, two tone helmets, etc...after about a month I made my first conference set of the WAC. Wow!! to see how what those helmets look now, I would be embarrassed. But I think now I really perfected my craft and I'm pretty proud of my work. It took me awhile to be confident enough to start putting my craft up on Ebay and other sites to sell. I now am building up my inventory to of graphics and logos to accommodate my customers so that they can order from the my 20.00 listing. Each day I add a new logo for Alternate helmets and schools.
I did have all Division I, II. III and NAIA teams. Now...I only display my Division I and II with concept type helmets (colleges with no football program) i.e. Vermont, Boston University, Xavier, etc..I do have the artwork for all the others, So if there is a team thats not mentioned or is a small college or high school. I can more than likely make it!!
Thanks for visiting!!
