Shoshin Learning Lab's Story
Origin Story
Shoshin is a Japanese term meaning “beginner's mind” — approaching even familiar situations with curiosity, humility, and openness. It's the same mindset behind every conversation this shop is built to teach: the willingness to listen first, before assuming you already know the answer.
Shoshin Learning Lab creates interactive, scenario-based training courses — built around a simple idea: people remember decisions, not slides. Every course puts the learner inside a real workplace conversation, lets them choose how to respond, and shows them what happens next.
The shop's first collection, Customer Service, is available now — with more collections covering other workplace skills planned for the future. Every collection follows the same format: practical, ready to facilitate, and built the same way from one topic to the next.
What Makes These Different
Every course is a complete, ready-to-facilitate experience — not a blank template you have to build out yourself.
A real, editable PowerPoint — not a locked course platform, not a subscription.
No authoring tool required. If you already have PowerPoint, you already have everything you need.
Each course includes four resources: the interactive Decision Lab™, a Field Guide, a Job Aid, and a Facilitator Guide — everything needed to actually teach it, not just hand it out.
Fully editable if you want to adjust it — but plug-and-play from the moment you download it.
Who It's For
Corporate trainers, HR teams, team leads, and small business owners who need to deliver real, practical training without building it from scratch — and without an Articulate or Rise subscription.
