Abbiamo sempre avuto un amore per prendere materiali ordinari e usarli per creare cose straordinarie che si adattano alla nostra vita quotidiana. O, come ci piace dire, Live Creatively & Celebrate Everyday.
Nei suoi primi anni, Elizabeth ha aperto un blog personale per catturare e condividere bei momenti della sua vita. Ha chiamato il suo blog The Path Less Traveled in linea con la fine della sua poesia preferita, The Road Not Taken, scritta da Robert Frost. Non rendendosi conto di quale differenza avrebbe fatto anni dopo.

All'inizio del 2009, John ha subito un serio taglio degli stipendi nel suo lavoro "normale" e le finanze sono diventate molto strette. Era tempo di una strada diversa. Sia John che Elizabeth erano nati in famiglie che apprezzavano la creatività e sognavano in grande. Il duro lavoro, la determinazione, l'iniziativa e il sacrificio sono stati valutati come i trampolini di lancio per trasformare quei sogni in realtà. Con un rapido brainstorming, entrambi si resero conto che John era un imprenditore nel cuore ed Elizabeth aveva un amore per gli oggetti fatti a mano. Era giunto il momento di mettersi in proprio!
Nella primavera del 2009, dopo aver racimolato qualche dollaro per comprare qualche metro di stoffa per fare grembiuli, hanno aperto il loro primo negozio il BigCartel.com. L'azienda aveva bisogno di un nome. Uno accattivante. Uno che si distingueva e li separava da tutti gli altri. Dopo alcuni giorni di conversazione, John suggerì a Elizabeth di usare il nome del suo blog. Così è nato The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Le vendite sono state lente ma hanno mostrato segni di crescita. Nel 2010, The Path Less Traveled® aveva cambiato le piattaforme di mercato per Etsy.com e aggiunto alcuni articoli di carta, oggetti vintage e ghirlande di stoffa. Oggi, The Path Less Traveled® è ospitato su due importanti piattaforme commerciali, offre centinaia di oggetti fatti a mano e spedisce in tutto il mondo.
Dall'umile inizio della creazione di semplici grembiuli alla fornitura di arte 3D per le grandi aziende da utilizzare in servizi fotografici dinamici, The Path Less Traveled® continua a innovare e cercare modi creativi per trasformare materiali ordinari in cose straordinarie. Con il rapido sviluppo di nuove tecnologie e alcuni investimenti strategici, The Path Less Traveled® è entusiasta di spingere i confini di questa passione per molti anni a venire.

We have always had a love for taking ordinary materials and using them to create extraordinary things that fit into our everyday lives. Or, as we like to say, Live Creatively & Celebrate Everyday.
In her early years, Elizabeth started a personal blog to capture and share beautiful moments of her life. She named her blog The Path Less Traveled in keeping with the end to her favorite poem, The Road Not Taken, written by Robert Frost. Not realizing what difference it would make years later.

In early 2009, John experienced a serious pay cut at his “normal” job and finances became very tight. It was time for a different road. Both John and Elizabeth had been born into families that valued creativity and dreaming big. Hard work, determination, initiative, and sacrifice were valued as the stepping stones to making those dreams become reality. With some quick brainstorming, they both realized that John was an entrepreneur at heart and Elizabeth had a love for handmade items. It was time to start their own business!
In the spring of 2009, after scraping a few dollars together to buy a few yards of cloth to make aprons, they opened their first shop on BigCartel.com. The business needed a name. A catchy one. One that stood out and separated them from everyone else. After a few days of talking about it, John suggested Elizabeth use the name of her blog. Thus was born The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Sales were slow but showed signs of growth. By 2010, The Path Less Traveled® had switched market platforms to Etsy.com and added a few paper goods, vintage items, and cloth garlands. Today, The Path Less Traveled® is hosted on two major shopping platforms, offers hundreds of handmade items, and ships around the world.
From the humble beginning of making simple aprons to providing 3-D art for large corporations to use in dynamic photo-shoots, The Path Less Traveled® continues to innovate and look for creative ways to make ordinary materials into extraordinary things. With the rapid development of new technology and some strategic investments, The Path Less Traveled® is excited to push the boundaries of this passion for many years to come.
