I received it as advertised, well packaged for a safe journey, in good time. It is exactly what I was hoping for. I have another model similar to it, a red biplane, from my childhood, and the two go together perfectly.

Vintage finds from mom

Hello there,

Here's the little story behind this shop.

I'm Val. My mom got diagnosed with dementia in 2014 and had to be placed in a nursing home. It was a very hard time to go through. Her apartment had to be cleaned up because she wouldn't need her things anymore. It was filled with finds she collected for years. She loved to go to flea markets and yard sales. What should I do with all of those things? I asked myself.

Then I had an idea.

She always wanted to travel but never did. Why not spreading her things all over the world? My friend Gab decided to help me. Gab is like a sister to me, we'll always be there for each other. We started to take pictures and we put up the shop on Etsy. Val and Gab vintage was born.

Since then, many of my mom's objects found a new home and the money I made helped me with some fees related to my mom's care.

There's Val and there's Gab Val had to empty her mom's apartment that was filled with years of collecting vintage things. She had the idea of spreading them around the world so her mom could be somewhere all the time. Gab decided to help her out.
