This illustration is based on a a story author/playwright Lillian Hellman told about her New Orleans childhood. She disdained going to school as much as she loved to read. Her solution was to ditch school and camp out in the fig tree next to her bedroom window. She relaxed in her petticoat (so as not to spoil her dress) and read the day away. That sounds like a little piece of heaven to me.

Image size is 8x10 with no border. Printed on archival paper, the colors are vivid and true. It slips into any standard 8x10 frame.

Print will come signed and dated on the back by the artist (me!) and packed in a clear cello sleeve with cardboard to avoid bending in transit.
