Supporting Christians in the Holy Land by selling their Olive wood Religious items
Hello, I'm Katherine Awwad. Although my husband George and I now live in the United States with our two daughters, we were both born and raised in the sacred city of Bethlehem in the Holy Land. Growing up in this ancient, faith-filled town has shaped our identity and instilled in us a deep love for the time-honored craft of olive wood carving.
Over the years, we watched the artisans of Bethlehem — our friends, family, and neighbors — pour their hearts into their work. Their hands transform simple olive wood into sacred art, carrying stories that have been passed down for centuries. Today, many of these families continue their craft under incredibly difficult circumstances, relying on it not only as a livelihood but as a way to preserve our Christian presence in the Holy Land.
Even though we no longer live there, our hearts remain firmly connected to our hometown and to the artisans who continue its centuries-old traditions. Through our shop, we proudly showcase hand-carved religious items created by our friends, family, and neighbors back home. Each piece reflects the spiritual and cultural heritage that makes Bethlehem so unique.
For us, this mission is far more than a business. It is a way to preserve the livelihoods and traditions of the Christian families we love — families who work tirelessly to continue their craft despite daily challenges and economic hardships.
When you purchase from our shop, you are not simply buying a piece of olive wood art. You are supporting real families in Bethlehem, helping sustain their craft, and becoming a part of a story built on faith, resilience, and hope. Your support forms a meaningful bridge between your home and the Holy Land.
From our family to yours, thank you for joining us on this heartfelt journey and for helping us preserve a beautiful legacy that means so much to our community and to us personally.
