A little about me and my shop
I live in beautiful rural Ottawa, Canada beside the Rideau River. With a studio among trees and by the water, I share my life with multiple domestic and wild animals - all of whom my sons and husband say rank higher than they do in the household (this is possibly true ....).
I have been an artist all of my life and have worked in way too many art fields. After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Art in Studio and Art History from the University of Toronto - the realisation came that a B.F.A. is probably not the most useful degree ... so without a cut and dried career path I worked in illustration, graphic design, interior design, jewellery design, cake design, as a museum model maker, mural artist, and art instructor. Finally now - after years in commercial art - I am a full-time fine artist. I paint landscapes, cityscapes, animals, and portrait commissions. I am represented by a few galleries and show my work at those.
With a background in interior design, it always seemed to me that some of my paintings should be prints, and some would work really well as home decor items and accessories, especially the animal paintings - and that is how I started my Etsy shop. I am terrible at sewing, or printing anything - a printer will break if I just look at one .... so I found some people who are good at those things, really awesome people who can turn my art into prints and goods for gifts and your homes.
I hope you enjoy my work and find something really great for yourself, a friend, or your own happy home :) If you have any questions at all, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and my shop, I hope you have an amazingly wonderful day!
