Ciao! Sono Monica! Sono un'artista grafica, mamma casalinga e proprietaria di Lemonade Design Studio. Ero stato un artista grafico che lavorava in un ufficio per diversi anni quando ho felicemente lasciato la mia carriera per rimanere a casa a crescere il nostro figlio appena nato, Oliver. Sfortunatamente, un paio di anni dopo a mio marito è stato notificato che la sua posizione di insegnante di 10 anni veniva eliminata a causa dei tagli al budget. Ci siamo fatti prendere dal panico, abbiamo pianto, ci siamo chiesti cosa avrebbe riservato il futuro per la nostra piccola famiglia che viveva così frugalmente di questo stipendio.

Abbiamo scelto di vedere questo come una benedizione. Una sfida. Una nuova opportunità. Un'occasione per attingere alla mia creatività, alla mia esperienza di design e alla mia laurea in pittura e disegno. Decisi che se la vita ci avrebbe dato dei limoni... Farei Lemonade Design Studio.

Mio marito ha trovato un altro lavoro e io ho trovato il lavoro dei miei sogni! Adoro quello che faccio e sono così felice di come la vita abbia funzionato in questo modo. Abbiamo avuto un altro bambino, Elliot, e sono per sempre grato che questo mi permetta di rimanere a casa per crescere entrambi o i nostri ragazzi. Mi ispirano ogni giorno.

Adoro inventare idee di design nuove e completamente uniche. Faccio la maggior parte del mio lavoro di notte dopo che i miei ragazzi sono a letto, il che funziona benissimo per me perché è allora che le mie idee continuano ad arrivare - anche se spesso non riesco a dormire fino a quando non tiro fuori le idee!

Adoro assolutamente progettare e personalizzare i miei inviti, cartoline di Natale e annunci per i miei clienti... Posso essere solo una piccola parte di alcuni dei momenti più felici per queste famiglie, e sono sempre così onorato che il mio negozio sia stato scelto per questo! Mi piacerebbe progettare qualcosa per te!

Hello! I'm Monica! I'm a graphic artist, stay-at-home-mom, and the owner of Lemonade Design Studio. I had been a graphic artist working in an office for several years when I happily left behind my career to stay at home to raise our newborn son, Oliver. Unfortunately, a couple years later my husband was notified that his teaching position of 10 years was being eliminated due to budget cuts. We panicked, we cried, we wondered what the future would hold for our little family that lived so frugally off this one salary.

We chose to see this as a blessing. A challenge. A new opportunity. A chance to tap into my creativity, my design experience, and my college degree in painting and drawing. I decided that if life was going to give us lemons... I would make Lemonade Design Studio.

My husband found another job, and I found my dream job! I absolutely love what I do and am so happy how life just worked out like this. We had another little boy, Elliot, and am forever grateful that this allows me to stay home to raise both or our boys. They inspire me daily.

I love to come up with new and completely unique design ideas. I do most of my work at night after my boys are in bed, which works great for me because that's when my ideas just keep coming - although I often can't sleep until I get the ideas out!

I absolutely adore designing and customizing my invitations, Christmas cards and announcements for my customers... I get to be just a tiny little part of some of the happiest times for these families, and I'm always so honored that my shop was chosen for that! I would love to design something for you!
