Handmade purses and bleach-dyed apparel

Handmade Purses, Bleach Dyed Clothing and Accessories

About a year ago, I saw someone using toilet bleach to dye hats—and I had to try it myself. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with new techniques and recently dusted off my sewing machine to craft purses from scratch.

Everything I make or alter becomes a true one-of-a-kind piece. My tie-dye process is slow and meticulous, but the moment of revealing unexpected color reactions and abstract patterns never gets old. My stitching may not always be perfect, and many of my pieces are re-homed, but that’s part of the charm. I’ve only been sewing and bleaching since fall 2024, and I’m fully embracing the learning curve—and loving every step of it.
