About MonoField Studio

I'm Lisa, the artist behind MonoField Studio. I create original abstract paintings and collages in my studio in Quebec, Canada. MonoField is a space for exploring colour, texture and the relationships between simple shapes.

I work with acrylic paint, painted paper and canvas, building each piece by hand. I'm drawn to the small differences that make a composition interesting: a rough edge, a trace of an earlier layer, or two colours that change when placed beside one another.

Each artwork is one of a kind. I add new works as they become available. The photographs show the surfaces and details that give each piece its character.
