Hi, I'm Cindy--the heart, hands, and sandy toes (salty beach hair too!) behind Shore Thing Shell Art.
My journey into seashell art truly began two years ago after a special trip to Florida with my best friend. We went in December when the beaches were calm and relaxing. The warm breeze, the sound of the waves, and the treasure hunt for seashells stirred something creative in me. I came home with a large suitcase full of beautiful shells, each one a tiny treasure shaped by the sea. I didn't know at the time just how meaningful those little shells would become.
When I returned home, I shared my newfound treasure with my twin granddaughters. We spent hours sorting, imagining, and creating--turning these gifts from the ocean into fun, whimsical art. What began as a bonding activity with them soon bloomed into a full-blown passion of mine.
That spark led to the creation of Shore Thing Shell Art, where every piece I make is a celebration of the beauty of the seashore. Whether it's a smiling seashell frog or a whimsical wall hanging of a seashell family, each piece is handcrafted by me with love, sunshine, and a little coastal magic.
