I help parents find the words. Written by a licensed therapist who's also a dad.

A lot of us grew up in homes where you didn't talk about what was hard. You handled it. You kept moving. And now we have tweens and teens who need something different from us and nobody handed us a script for that.

I'm Caleb Adu, LCSW-C, licensed clinical social worker and father. I created Between Us Parents because the gap between what parents want to say and what actually comes out in those moments is real and it's fixable.

The tools in this shop are built from clinical research and real parent experience. They're not feel-good theory. They're specific, usable scripts for the moments that actually happen: the shutdown, the eye roll, the "I'm fine" that clearly isn't, the conversation you've tried to start ten times.

You don't need a perfect relationship with your kid. You just need to know what to say next.

Yes. The scripts in this shop are written for parents of tweens and teens ages 10–17. The language scales — you're not getting advice built for a 5-year-old dressed up for older kids.
