What Started Out as an Inquiry Ended Up as a Business!
When I was about 10 years old and was cleaning my bedroom, I suddenly realized that a table that I had been using as storage was a very unusual one with a top hinged layer. I cleared off the top and lifted the hinged top and discovered a sewing machine embedded below.
I questioned my mother about it and she informed me that she had no idea how to use it. It had been given to her from an old neighbor. That was the beginning for me...my inquisitive personality just exploded! I couldn't stop experimenting with this incredible machine. Everything I know about sewing and quilting came from self discovery, research and lots of trial and error. But error is often how you learn new skills.
Creating my own clothes and unique gifts for friends and family motivated me to develop my skills into a hobby. Over the years, I became proficient and learned skills that produced professional results. These skills became perfected and I was then invited to teach sewing lessons to both children and adults. As a natural evolution, quilting soon entered the picture.
Now, I have started my own sewing and quilting business and have found even more success and satisfaction. I have numerous customers who have been "over the moon" pleased with their gifts and purchases. This motivates me to continue on this journey.
