Spells and shells.
I am a molecular biologist by training and a timid nature fan in life. I love and admire the living world, I always did. Eventually, most seashells break, flowers wither, and butterfly wings crumble and get ground into powder by the elements. To grasp the fragile beauty and retell a story of biogenic sand grains, decayed leaves, wilted weeds, abandoned shells, and other gentle traces of living organisms - that is the inspiration and a humble hope behind any of my creations. My dream is to make objects that would not just serve as pretty decorations, but appear as complete stories of life, its evasive nature, and precious fragility.
I often strive to reach for multiple techniques. While seemingly eclectic all of my creations emerge and intertwine as a part of a single process, which ultimately represents my way of interaction with this world and expression of my admiration of its complexity and beauty.
One of the important aspects of my process is to keep each project unique. Likewise, every single order I send out is treated with the utmost personal touch. I am always open to custom orders, and happy to make something unique intended for a specific person.
