Automation Engineer with Passion for Printing Makes Pots
Hi, I'm Isaac — the designer, printer, and packer behind LayerLab3D.
I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, which probably explains why I got obsessed with 3D printing somewhere around 2020. What started as a single succulent pot for my desk turned into a full design practice, and eventually into this shop.
Today, LayerLab3D is focused on modern home decor that doesn't look like it came from a 3D printer. Tissue box covers, bathroom organizers, vases, soap pedestals — everyday objects, designed with the same care most people reserve for furniture. Clean lines, considered proportions, matte finishes, and tolerances tight enough that the parts actually fit the way they're supposed to.
Every piece is designed in-house and printed to order from my workshop in Orange, California. I use premium matte PLA — a plant-based, biodegradable bioplastic — because it prints beautifully and because making something disposable in a permanent material has always felt backwards to me.
A few things I care about:
– Design first. If a piece doesn't look like something I'd put in my own home, it doesn't go in the shop.
– Made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Your piece is printed for you, usually within 1–2 business days.
– Quality you can feel. The matte finish, the weight, the way the lid actually fits — these details are why I do this.
If you're looking for something in a custom color, a custom size, or a bulk/wholesale order (yes, I do those — including branded pieces for businesses, hotels, and events), just message me. I'm a one-person shop and I read every message.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope something here finds a home with you.
— Isaac
