We are happy to be able to continue shipping to the US at the same prices as always and will be shipping DDP, which means all your costs are paid upfront and you will not receive any surprise charges from the shippers for customs charges. We are lucky to have been able to re-imagine our products as genuine artworks which are not subject to tariffs in the US.

I love this chippy photo frame, it’s even better in real life. The service from Mark is great and the time it took to get to Australia was quicker than I thought. I’m going to buy another one, they are so unique, they are so individual.

Reclaiming Resources - Empowering People - Preserving Beauty

Luna Designs was founded in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1996 by brothers Mark and Brian Fanner.

For nearly 30 years, we’ve been making distinctive picture frames by hand from reclaimed timber. Our wood comes from old buildings, furniture, boats and other salvaged sources, and we deliberately preserve the marks, weathering, layers of paint and imperfections that tell its story.

No two Luna frames are exactly alike. Every one is individually made, with its own colour, texture and character — genuine patina rather than a newly made imitation of something old.

Today our frames are made in our solar-powered, off-grid rural workshop in South Africa and shipped to customers around the world.

You can see more of Luna Designs and our wider collection at:

www.lunadesignsframeco.com

Because we work with reclaimed timber and make each frame individually, dimensions may vary slightly. That individuality is part of what makes every Luna frame unique.

I studied a law degree but had an urge to create a company that would employ low skilled workers in South Africa. We've made and continue to make various product but our post-modern rustic frames have been our mainstay since around 2000.
