Ornaid Jewelry; A brief description about me and my humble beginnings as a jewelery entrepenuer
Hello, my name is Valeria. I am currently into fashion photography, jewelry, and really, all things artistic. Making jewelry for me started as a child when I got a pop beads set for Christmas back in 2005.
Truth be told that turned into a lifelong hobby of mine. It's something I've become quite proficient at over the years, but for some reason, I never really thought much of it, nor did I try to make anything else of it up until now. I figured that with me coming of age, Etsy was the natural follow up step to take if I was to further tap into this side of me in order to explore my strengths both as an artist and as a jewelry entrepeneur.
I am an artist at heart, and I believe in and see jewelry as a free and open form of human expression with a spirit of its own.
I am a third generation hippie, and from a very young age my grandmother instilled in me the idea that all things, in principle, were either to be made by one's own hand, recycled, or be shared readily with others.
My jewelry I hope reflects all this, as it is with this spirit that I try to embue my own creations; items with personal vision worked with ideas and materials which flow out of the simple and natural.
Occasionally I'll go to local fashion and jewelry bazzars to connect with artists there, and, as a result, this often gets me inspired to come up with my own creations, or else to build on the ideas of others.
You're welcome to reach out to me with special orders, but be aware that much of my jewelry, although unique, is limited to whatever amount or raw material I could find or is available for me to work with to create it.
I personally like to work with silver, gold filled, and semi precious natural crystals and stones.
I also absolutely adore vintage jewelry, and I always try to get my hands on whichever kind I can get.
So feel free to visit my store and be on the lookout for that too.
P.S
I just recently opened my store, so please be patient, as over the next weeks and months I will gradually continue to add items to it.
Much Love to you - Valeria
