¡Pathfinder's Forge está encabezado por un trío de amigas queer y sáficas, Sarah, Sprout y Cass!
¡Los tres se unieron cuando comenzaron a participar más activamente dentro del fandom de Star Wars, estableciéndose entre un nicho de personas que estaban particularmente entusiasmadas con el arte y la escritura centrados en wlw!
Distraídamente, después de emprender nuestros viajes individuales para crear imprentas y proyectos separados que contribuyeran al fandom más amplio de Star Wars, nos lamentábamos unos a otros de lo lamentablemente pequeño que era el porcentaje de ganancias para los artistas que realmente no tenían el espacio. y medios para crear sus propias impresiones o pegatinas dentro de sus propios hogares.
Después de todo, no todo el mundo tiene un espacio de estudio con todo lo que pueda necesitar.
Sin embargo, fue un poco de suerte que Sarah pudiera comprar y aprovechar al máximo una impresora 3D para ayudar a crear piezas de armadura para cosplay. Notamos todas las cosas increíbles que eran posibles con la impresora, cómo simplemente una tenacidad pura y el espacio adecuado para albergarlo todo, realmente hicieron realidad la fantasía.
"Wow, jaja", pensamos cada uno, "¿No sería sinceramente... un poco fácil? ¿Hacer nuestra propia tienda? ¿Hacer los artículos que más queríamos para nosotros? Una impresora 3D es una locura, ¿cuánto más difícil?" ¿Podría ser posible hacer calcomanías e impresiones...?"
Los pensamientos se volvieron bastante reales después de una noche de pura impulsividad y activa lluvia de ideas. Lo siguiente que supimos fue que se nos había ocurrido el nombre de una tienda, teníamos redes sociales, teníamos un correo electrónico para usar con fines comerciales y teníamos un viento feroz bajo nuestras velas.
No pasó mucho tiempo después de que dimos un salto, investigamos más a fondo lo que implica iniciar una imprenta, ¡incluso preparamos la documentación necesaria!
A partir del 8 de enero de 2024, Pathfinder's Forge se convirtió en una empresa oficial, con nuestra sede ubicada en Ohio, EE. UU.
¡Es con la ayuda de Sprout y Cass, los dos artistas principales que ayudan a crear diseños para calcomanías, estampados y prendas de vestir, que el concepto de poner una cantidad adecuada de ganancias en manos del artista se hace realidad!
¡Invitamos y invitamos a artistas a enviar sus trabajos para que puedan agregarse a nuestro catálogo de artículos disponibles en nuestra tienda! Trabajamos con un modelo 70/30, donde el 70% de las ganancias de un artículo va directamente a los artistas con los que trabajamos, mientras que el 30% se devuelve a la tienda.
Al final del día, hacemos lo que hacemos desde un lugar de puro amor por nuestro oficio y puro amor por los artistas.

Pathfinder's Forge is spearheaded by a trio of queer, sapphic friends, Sarah, Sprout, and Cass!
The three came together when beginning to more actively partake within Star Wars fandom, settling themselves amongst a niche of folks who were particularly excited about wlw focused art and writing!
Absently, after going forth on our individual journies to create separate print shops and projects that contributed to the wider Star Wars fandom, we lamented to each other on how unfortunately small the cut of profit was, for artists who didn't really have the space and means to create their own prints or stickers within their own homes.
Not everyone has a studio space with everything they could ever need, after all.
However, it was a bit of luck, that Sarah was able to purchase and make full use of a 3D printer, to help create armor pieces for cosplay! We noted all the incredible stuff that was possible with the printer, how just some pure tenacity and proper space to host it all, really pulled fantasy into reality.
"Wow, haha," we each thought, "Wouldn't it honestly... Be a bit easy? To make our own shop? To make the items we wanted the most for ourselves? A 3D printer is crazy, how much harder could making stickers and prints possibly be...?"
Thoughts became quite real after an evening of pure impulsiveness and active brainstorming. The next thing we knew, we had come up with a store name, we had social media, we had an email to use for business purposes, and we had a fierce wind under our sails.
It wasn't too long after, that we took a leap, researched deeper into what goes into beginning a print shop, we even put out the necessary paperwork!
As of January 8th, 2024, Pathfinder's Forge became an official business, with our headquarters located at Ohio, USA.
It's with the help of Sprout and Cass, the two lead artists who help create designs for stickers, prints, and apparel, that the concept of putting a proper amount of profit into artist's hands is made real!
We invite and bring on artists to submit their work, so that it can be added onto our catalogue of items available within our store! We work off of a 70|30 model, where 70% of an item's profit goes directly to the artists we work with, while 30% is put back towards the shop.
At the end of the day, we do what we do from a place of pure love for our craft, and a pure love for artists!
