For the cats who warm our laps and own our hearts
Sono cresciuta in una cucina calda, piena di lana, risate e il ticchettio costante dei ferri da maglia. Mia madre e mia sorella cucivano calzini e guanti, mentre mio padre filava la lana appena lavata. Ho imparato a lavorare a maglia nello stesso modo in cui ho imparato a respirare: lentamente, naturalmente e con amore.
L'artigianato è sempre stata la mia via di fuga, la mia terapia e il mio tipo preferito di ribellione contro la vita frenetica.
L'idea di realizzare vestiti per gatti mi è venuta nel 2013, quando due piccole sorelle sphynx mi hanno fatto sciogliere il cuore. Vivo in Finlandia (alias: terra dell'inverno senza fine), quindi dei vestiti caldi erano d'obbligo. Ho deciso di lavorarli a maglia da sola: maglioni morbidi, sicuri e adatti ai gatti, senza cuciture fastidiose o parti pericolose.
Ed è così che è nato Purring Pyjamas: in parte necessità, in parte ossessione e tanto amore.
Ogni pezzo è realizzato con cura e un pizzico di magia. Il mio obiettivo? Mantenere i vostri amici pelosi (o nudi) al caldo, comodi ed eleganti, onorando al contempo il modo più lento e ponderato di realizzare le cose in cui credo.

I grew up in a warm kitchen filled with wool, laughter, and the steady click of knitting needles. My mother and sister made socks and mittens while my father spun yarn from freshly washed wool. I learned to knit the same way I learned to breathe - slowly, naturally, and with love.
Crafting has always been my escape, my therapy, and my favorite kind of rebellion against fast living.
The idea to make cat clothes came in 2013, when two tiny sphynx sisters melted my heart. I live in Finland (aka: land of endless winter), so warm clothes were a must. I decided to knit them myself: soft, safe, cat-friendly sweaters with no scratchy seams or dangerous bits.
And that’s how Purring Pyjamas was born: part necessity, part obsession, and a lot of love.
Every piece is made with care and a bit of magic. My goal? To keep your naked (or furry) companions warm, comfy, and stylish, while honoring the slower, thoughtful way of making things that I believe in.
