Frequently asked questions

How do I know which size clogs or wooden clog boots to purchase?

Sizing can, and most likely will, vary between different styles, i.e. a pair of high heel clogs vs. low heel clogs, or a clog boot vs. clog sandals. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the sizing chart before you make your purchase in order to select the correct size. This sizing chart is available in every listing.

Please note: Our sizing may not compare to other clog brands on the market.

If you remain unsure of your size, please feel free to contact us!

How are clogs supposed to fit?

Clogs and clog boots are designed to allow your heel to “slip” when you walk, even if you have a closed back clog or boot. It generally takes a couple of weeks to get used to your new clog shoes and the leather to adjust to your feet.

Please note if this is your first pair of wood clogs:
We recommend wearing either clogs or clog boots inside your home for no more than a couple of hours a day for the first week, and half a day for the next week so that your feet and clog shoes will adjust to each other. Give your clog shoes some time.

What does the order process look like?

When you have placed your clogs order you will receive an order confirmation that consist of your order details and Sandgrens contact details, including our address, email and phone number. We will begin processing the order immediately and ship your clogs or boots within 1-5 business days depending on stock inventory. Upon shipment, you will receive your tracking number along with the courier details. The time between when your order was placed and when you receive your clogs varies depending on your location and stock inventory at our US and Swedish clog warehouses but generally takes between 3-7 days.

When will my order ship?

Once your order has shipped from one of our clog distribution centers, we will provide you with an order status update via email that includes your tracking number and the courier service your Sandgrens clogs or boots were shipped with.

Standard couriers are FedEx and USPS and it may take up to one day for your tracking information to be sent once shipped. Once the courier has accepted the clogs, Sandgrens is no longer liable for the shipment. Although rare, courier companies misplace a package for a period of time, damage or lose them altogether. If you have not received your clogs and the status is delivered, customers will need to contact the courier and work with them directly to location the shipment.

Wholesale - General information

We require a minimum of 12 pairs per order, which can include two different style/color selections. For example: You could select our Tokyo clogs in nude and Tokyo clogs in black with each color having 6 pairs.

All pricing includes shipping via FedEx from Sweden. Additionally, Sandgrens pays any applicable duty for shipments to the United States.

Delivery is generally 2-3 weeks from final order confirmation but often can be as little as one week.

We require a deposit of 50% upon order placement and the remainder of the balance prior to shipping for all new customers.

Reorders can be made quickly and simply through email info@sandgrensclogs.com

Custom and personalized orders

Yes, we do offer custom-made orders!

Customers can choose any leather color/type we offer, base color, staples or studs (color of studs), and a style we offer.

Which leathers do you use for your clogs?

Vegetable Tan Leather:
Made in a natural process, which uses tree bark, vegetables and fruits during tanning and does not contain any chrome. At first, the leather feels stiff but continues to soften with regular wear. The Nude color will darken after exposure to sunlight for a few hours. As it becomes darker it becomes more resilient but still remains sensitive.

Nubuck Leather:
Oiled snuffed suede with smooth texture and a slight knap. The oiling process is what gives the nubuck its characteristic look and feel.

How do I take care of my clogs or clog boots?

Vegetable Tan Leather:
By treating leather with leather conditioner, you restore the natural oils and lubricate the leather fibers, preventing scuffing, cracking, and staining. The leather conditioner also provides a mild weather barrier.

Nubuck Leather:
Bickmore’s Gard-More Water & Stain Repellent has been specially formulated to add a protective layer to your nubuck clogs helping guard against water and stains while minimizing rub off and scuffing. Protecting against dirt, water & stains on all colors of nubuck and vegetable tanned leathers.

German VerpackG (Packing Act)

We partner with DerGrünePunkt in Germany to recycle our shipping boxes and bags.

Please help us in our effort to reduce the carbon footprint by reusing or recycling cardboard and plastic packaging appropriately.

Will I be charged sales tax?

You may be liable for additional customs and duty charges based on your local government laws. Normally these are considered “clog shoes” or “footwear” for import purposes but some countries have specific rules for wooden shoes or wood clogs.

Customs and duty charges are not included in the original purchase price or shipping cost. Sandgrens Clogs is not liable for any charges that may be assessed.

Although we can’t make any guarantees, Sandgrens Clogs generally ships orders to our European and International customers from our Swedish inventory to avoid duty as much as possible.

Each country’s laws are specific, so we have limited ability to know with certainty what customs and/or duties will apply to your clog and/or cork sandal.
