Original vintage designs for people who grew up on the old stories and never quite got over them.

Magic works best when it's subtle.

The Spindle & Spool makes original vintage-style designs inspired by the old fairy tales: the ones about glass slippers, enchanted roses, and birthday cakes that were structurally optimistic at best. A private joke between you and anyone else who grew up on the same stories.

Every design is a fictional vintage business from inside the world of the story: a bakery, a dress shop, a coaching inn. The kind of place that might have had a sign in the window, if that world had a high street. The art is original. The references are oblique. Quality good enough to wear on a regular Tuesday, nowhere near a theme park.
