For the conversation you keep putting off
Maybe it's the conversation you keep almost having with your partner. Maybe it's money. Maybe it's something with your mom, or a friend you haven't really talked to in months. You know you need to say something. You just don't know how to start, so you keep waiting for a better moment that never quite shows up.
That's who The Good Talk Shop is for. It's a small shop of guides for hard conversations, including the ones you've been avoiding.
Good relationships need good conversations. Money conversations with your partner don't have to turn into a fight, and feeling closer can start with one honest question. The conversations that matter with family and friends aren't always easy, but they're worth having. And most of the time, a conversation feels hard simply because you don't know how to begin. So that's where every guide here starts: with the first words.
WHY I STARTED THE GOOD TALK SHOP
Hi! I'm Amy, and I started The Good Talk Shop because I know how these conversations go when no one knows where to start. Money talks that turned into fights, then silence, with no shared vision to come back to. Important things with family that stayed unsaid because the feelings were hard to put into words. Old friends I meant to call, until so much time had passed that reaching out felt awkward, whether we'd been close or not.
Not because we didn't care. We just didn't have the words. I bought the books. I meant to read them. They ended up on the shelf, half-finished. Too much, too long. What I needed was a few simple steps and the right first words, ready to use that same night.
So I started making the guides I wish I'd had: short, clear, and made for tonight. They're for anyone who wants a stronger relationship with their partner, a future they're building together, and a way to reconnect with the people who matter most.
WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE
Guides, scripts, and conversation tools for money, relationships, and family. Each one works like a simple communication guide: a few agreements to set the tone, conversation starters and thoughtful questions to keep things moving, and space to write down what you decide together. Structured enough to feel safe, open enough to go somewhere real.
AVAILABLE NOW:
Three guides for couples are here, so you can start wherever feels right.
The First Conversation: five questions about money, your future, and each other, to answer together in one evening. The easiest place to begin.
Money Personality Quiz + Cards: a short quiz and four personality cards that show how each of you thinks about money, and why you keep seeing it differently.
Couples Money Date Kit: our full guide. It walks you through a complete couples money conversation, with financial questions for couples, your real numbers, and a money map you build together. It turns the talk you've been dreading into a money date night you might actually look forward to, and a lot less awkward than you'd expect.
