In September 2019 we changed our name from QuiltsByHayley to The Scrub Cap Co. We did this in order to give our shop a name that better suited what we make; quality scrub caps to outfit your life, whether you are a doctor, nurse, veterinarian, vet tech, or other medical professional.

This Etsy shop was started back in 2014 when we first moved to Saint Louis, MO. Originally the shop offered multiple typed of handmade items, such as quilted tote bags, crocheted items, quilts, and scrub caps. As business grew, we found there was a desire for unique scrub caps that people could wear to their jobs where they may all be required to wear the same matching scrubs. These caps are also super helpful for identifying team members when everyone in the operating room is dressed the same.

We welcome custom orders! If there is a fabric or team that you would like a scrub cap in, just let us know and we will do our best to make you a cap that is exactly what you want. Quilts that are available for custom order. We do this so that you end up with the handmade quilt that you want. This shop is mainly run by myself, Hayley Prahlow, along with my husband and various others who help from time to time. I went to college to be a veterinary technician and am a Registered Veterinary Technician. Before my first child was born in August of 2016, I switched to working on my business full time. This allowed me to stay home with my daughter, as well as do what I love and be my own boss. Since then, my husband have added another family member to the ranks. When I am not sewing scrub caps, I am playing with my kids, working on various other craft projects, and taking care of my many animals, including a rabbitry of American Fuzzy Lop rabbits.
